Subs

What are Subs?

Subs are collected at the beginning of term in January, April & September.

It currently costs:

• Beavers: £27.00
• Cubs: £30.00
• Scouts: £35.00

This money is used to:

• Pay annual fees to National headquarters for Insurance & Leader training
• Pay the cost of hiring premises
• Pay the cost of badges and books
• Pay to subsidise some activities
• Pay for the cost of equipment

We try to keep subs to an absolute minimum and supplement the fees with fundraising activities throughout the year and from any donations received.

 

We have introduced Standing Order as a new method to pay Subs.

The benefits arising by paying in this way are:

• No need for group leaders to collect subscription monies
• No delays in monies being banked
• Improved controls
• Maximises gift aid opportunity

Monthly Standing Order debits will be:

• Beavers: £6.75
• Cubs: £7.50
• Scouts £8.75
